OBD2 Sensors >> GM 6.2L LS3 V8 Engine Sensor Locations

  1. Fuel injectors (located next to intake manifold)
  2. Mass airflow / Intake air temp sensor (MAF/IAT)
  3. Camshaft position sensor (CMP) (located at the front of the engine above the crankshaft pulley)
  4. Camshaft position actuator solenoid valve (located at front of engine above the crankshaft pulley)
  5. Oil pressure sensor (located at the top rear of the engine to the rear of the intake manifold)
  6. Engine oil level/temp sensor (located on pass side of oil pan)
  7. Knock sensor 1 (KS) (located on the driver side of the engine)
  8. Knock sensor 2 (KS) (located on the pass side of the engine)
  9. Crankshaft position sensor (CKP) (located above starter at rear of engine block)
  10. Engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) (located at front of driver’s side cylinder head)
  11. Ignition coils (located on top of each cylinder head cover)
  12. Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP) (located on the intake manifold at the front of the engine)
  13. Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 (located in driver side exhaust manifold)
  14. Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 (located in pass side exhaust manifold)
  15. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) / Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

Does LS3 / L99 have 2 coolant temp sensor ?

Alex,
They show only one coolant temp sensor for the 6.2L L99 / LS3 engines.
As it is depicted in the above diagram.

sorry i found the problem . yes there is just one coolant temp sender unit located on the left engine head
