I have similar problem on a 2008 Silverado with a Duramax diesel P011A. I can’t figure it out
I have a 2014 Mazda 3 with 2 temperature related codes . P2183 and P011A. The coolant sensor has been replaced but is not OE. I don’t know where to go to from here. go back to the mechanic and request an OE part or have them check wiring.

There are two ECT sensors. Don’t just replace them. You have to test each one and its circuit. My guess is one of them may be defective or there is a problem with one of their circuits. By the looks of it, you might have replaced a perfectly good sensor. I found this diagnostic page for a CX-5, but I think this is the same engine? https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u877jw1v445217e/AACt4gDmRMKKnpiEIgkVDilCa/CX-5%20-%20Engine.pdf
