my car peugeot 407 2010 petrol gives out p1160….car idling very rough….earlier other codes refer to O2 sensor heater n high voltage present…car can still run …the only problm then i need to start the car n waited for 3-4 minutes until idling speed stable at around 700rpm. i bought new 02 sensor n the error codes for O2 cleared but still have to wait a few minutes before idling stablize…..then new codes came in p1160….i removed the throttle body incl the cable n clean it with carborator cleaner n refixed.
when i start the car…then it happen…this time the idling speed shoot up to 1200++ rpm n stay there….the idling became rough n pressing the pedal did not increase the speed in tandem with the pedal pressed.
tried to reset the ecu by removing the battery n dscharge the positive side as well…several time….still the same…
then i noticed ( using torque apps n obd2 plug) when starting up the car idling is around 1000++ n slowly reduce to around 900++ rpm…but as soon as coolant temp hit 56 deg C , triangle warning light came out n idling speed shoot up to 1200++ rpm with rough n noisy engine…….did it several times n as soon coolant temp hit 56deg….it happened……of course the car cannot be driven….
any idea or suggestion…..

Amigo, tenho um peugeot 308 2.0que deu esse mesmo código e depois de algumas pesquisas descobri que o defeito era o diafragma da tampa de válvula!
Comprei uma tampa nova e tive meu problema resolvido! Espero que ajude com essa dica!
