Well, I’ve never really believed in “faith-healing” cars, but I know there are BMW techs nearly divine in their ability to fix them by the laying of hands. (Sorry, couldn’t resist the joke.)
BMW’s description for DTC P1062 is “VVT limp home request full stroke position not reached bank 1”
Check the connectors for the VVT system (on or near the valve cover?) for solid connection, no water or oil. I’m concerned that this might also reflect an oil pressure problem. Have you been hearing unusual noises in the valve-cover area?
