NOTE: 96 & later are OBD2 systems and require a scanner. For an OBD2 code list, please see our Chrysler code list or the appropriate generic list.
Accessing Trouble Codes
Code retrieval can be accessed by the ignition key or by a diagnostic readout box(DRB).To obtain the codes using the key method, set the park brake, and put the vehicle in Park/neutral.
Some 95 and later OBDII vehicles, you may be able to retrieve OBDII codes with this procedure, if equipped with digital dash.- Turn the ignition key ON,OFF,ON,OFF,and finally ON again(ENGINE NOT RUNNING)
- The codes will start to flash on the POWER LOSS or CHECK ENGINE light.
- FLASH,pause,FLASH,FLASH=code 12
Clearing Trouble Codes
- Diagnostic trouble codes may be cleared by disconnecting the battery ground cable for at least 20 seconds.
- OBD2 vehicles require a scanner to clear the trouble codes.

I ran the key code on my 2008 Chrysler Sebring 2.4 and the engine light blinked twice but I don’t know what I meant. Can anyone please help me out.. ty
Janette,
On that year model, in order to retrieve the fault codes you will need a scan tool.
Chrysler stopped using blink codes shortly after the 1996 year model.

Have 2011 jeep grand Cherokee overland heated seats front and back and cruise and heated steering wheel don’t work need a schematic help
Considering so many systems are affected, it seems like something common had to fail, a fuse or relay feeding them all. Have you checked all the fuses and relays? If there are similar relays nearby, you can try swapping them to test. Couldn’t find any public-access wiring diagrams, though =/
